Minutes:

  • Reviewing the backing layer data
  • Aaron notices slight trend with backing layer
  • Aaron will generate thicker backing layer sample
  • currently samples are in the range 150um - 600um
  • Noe says DC connecter on board is unreliable
  • Kim Turner slides SEM, bar graph, stickybot photo, scaling data
  • Noe will assemble slides
  • Daniel has bar graph, scaling data and sent to Noe
  • Aaron will send Noe SEM and stickybot photo
  • Noe will send out by 3:30 today
  • Backing layer figure done this week
  • Aaron brings up point of creating repository of figures
  • After backing layer squeegees testing
  • Aaron - idea for new paper with splitting, geometry, adhesion

  • We will send out comments to gravish et al by 5 tomorrow
    • Aaron comment about lack of Eq 2 and justification for rate dependence
    • Noé commented about longevity comments and relevance
    • We want to verify velocity dependence on cabroncito
  • Next week get list of tests and figures to get
  • Daniel will find single wedge rupture distances upstairs
  • Jerry showed interesting first attempts at microwedge fabrication
  • Aaron and Jerry working together to brainstorm possible structures

Professor Jerry Fuh attended meeting

Noe presented the DPS and microwedge fabrication process in detail.

Professor Fuh presented his drop-on-demand for microfabrication Resolution is on the order of 30 microns He told us that we can submit a CAD file and try to make with PDMS
