Basic McKibben? Construction

1/2" OD, 3/8" ID, Rubber Tubing 7mm H x 10mm D, end-cap cylinder, one solid, one with 3/16" hole Elmer's Carpernter's Wood Glue.

First, I pushed the end caps into the rubber and zip-tied the rubber onto the caps. The cap with a hole was connected to a 1/8"OD, 1/16"ID pink hose using a small screw-in fitting.

Then, I attempted to inflate the rubber. At about 25-30 psi, a bubble formed and we quickly shut off the pressure. This indicates that the rubber must be inside a braiding under pressure.

I used wood glue to glue the caps into the ends of the rubber tubing.

36mm of 1/2" Overexpanded braiding. (Next time, go with much longer, for better attachment loops.)

The pink hose was cut at an angle and the sharp end was pressed through the braid, about 12mm from one end,

I used a foam tape to add some strain relief to the hose clamp.

The braid was looped back on itself and clamped with a hose clamp.
