Report requirements from DARPA:

Dear Principle (sic) Investigators:

    1. ) Quarterly reports from each project are due on the
following dates; Nov 30, Feb 28, May 31, and Aug 31. If you have recently provided a report (within the last month) you may provide a brief update in the Nov 30 report. These reports are intended to provide a brief (5-10 page) summary of the project's accomplishments and impact, and should include the following sections:

    1. Executive summary - summarize the major findings in the
quarter, and provide the impact of the findings to the overall project goals.

    1. Technical Progress - report on the technical highlites,
provide presentation quality data with explanations of the specific findings in the dataset. Point out the statistical significance of the findings and what future studies are suggested by the findings.

    1. Milestone Report - report the progress in the context of
the technical milestones projected for the project. Point out how each milestone has been addressed (in the ongoing fiscal year), pointing out where milestones have been met, which ones are still ongoing, and milestones that are not progressing according to the original plan. For unmet milestones, provide an explanation as to the reasons for milestone adjustments.

    1. Future issues and Technology transitions - report any
future issues that we should be made aware of. ie. changes in personnel or other resources, enabling changes by the accomplishments in the period, new collaborations or contacts made, and potential or real technology transitions.

    1. Major review periods for DARPA programs are in January
and June. We may ask for additional information at these times in order to best represent the program accomplishments.

    1. It would be best to provide electronic versions of your
reports. Preferred software would be PC versions of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint. These can be sent as attachments to email. In addition, we have set up websites which have FTP sites for downloading files. You may obtain the site location by contacting us.

For questions regarding your progress reports please contact Vanessa Payne or Rachel Lozano at (703)-525-9600 or lozanr@sainc.com.
