Sunlight instantly saturates signal.

Still need to finish comparator design, right now I can view an oscilloscope view of the square wave, centered around 2.5 volts, with a pk-pk amplitude of 2V.

The phototransistor has a view range of about 20 degrees from centerline, sometimes less. Blinders may not be required to narrow range of view
