Background

Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, I completed my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech.

My research experience was a mix of biomechanics and mechanical design. From investigating the biomechanical mechanisms of glaucoma to developing automated patch clamping robots, I fell in love with scientific investigation. My passion is working at the intersection of medical health needs and engineering design, with the ultimate goal of saving lives. Here at BDML, I have the opportunity to do exactly that! In collaboration with Cardiothoracic Surgery here at Stanford, I am working to develop smarter medical devices. We have a unique opportunity to combine the engineering tools and medical resources to really make an impact, and that is what inspires me every day.

I played collegiate soccer and Track&Field, competing in the 400m and 800m events. Today, you can find me playing on Roble Field with my dog Penley as well as dabbling in my new interest: boxing. I also am working towards developing inclusive menstrual products, which you can check out here.
