Hi! I’m a visiting PhD student from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Mechanical Engineering, currently working on whisker sensing, grasping and manipulation using flexible units. I grew up in Shanghai and graduated (B.S.) from ME in SJTU in 2018.
I am curious about achieving sensing for robots, so that they can mimic how we humans perceive and further operate. Humans are soft, not rigid (for both physical and mental~). So my research focus is on integrating flexible units in designing robotic end-effectors and endow them with sensing capacities. I would like to explore how to make robots feel like humans, react like humans, and manipulate like humans.
