I experiemented with some methods of embedding the angled patches in wax to send to Liming Dai. I also tried using silicone. Only yellow wax seemed to work. Silicone is too viscous. Blue wax required too high of a melting temperature to flow properly. This elevated temperature caused the hairs to melt.

It is hard to tell if the tips of the hairs are not covered in wax, but they at least seem to be co-planar. I think I will send these three samples and see what Liming can do with them. In the meantime, we can experiment with other techniques
