Some SDM polymers contain modified diphenylmethane diisocyanate.

Inhalation overexposure to di-isocyanate can cause respiratory sensitization. A hyper-reactive response to even minimal concentrations of di-isocyanate may develop in sensitized persons. Sensitized persons should not be exposed to any mixture containing unreacted di-isocyanate.
