About me

I am from Sterling, Virginia (just outside D.C.), and I'm part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) 2019 cohort. I am currently a senior pursuing my bachelor's degree at Virginia Tech. I am majoring in Engineering Science and Mechanics, with a concentration in Biomechanics, and a double minor in Math and Biomedical Engineering. My goal is to pursue a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and conduct research on rehabilitative robotics and/or haptics. Outside of school and the lab, I love working out, enjoying the outdoors, and reading. This summer, I'm working on the "needle project," for which we're trying to prove that incorporating force feedback into MR-compatible surgical robots will improve user performance when performing needle procedures such as liver biopsies.
