Arul's work focuses on the development of design, manufacturing, and testing techniques in order to effectively create and use gecko-inspired adhesives in real-world applications.

These adhesives have found applications in robotic grippers, climbing robots, soft actuators, and even in space.

Arul completed his PhD in Spring 2020.
